The Grand Thakar originally started in Morbi of Gujarat presents a menu that combines traditional Gujarati food with some North Indian and Chinese cuisines. Our simply but neatly furnished interiors are modern, timeless and even a little old-fashioned. Our Success Story
1965 - 1975
In 1965 a thought came that how would the people visiting Morbi for work would be able to manage for a meal. So with the motive to provide good food to the visitors, we started providing food services.
1975-1990
In 1975 with support of family and other people we purchased a land and started the hotel. Gradually we started our second branch in Gujarat in the colourful city of Rajkot.
1990-2010
In 1990 we started providing a hall for wedding along with the food and staying facilities. We renamed our hotel as “THE GRAND THAKAR”. In 2007 we started our another branch in Ahmedabad city of Gujarat.
2010-2020
Been serving in Gujarat since 1965 and now pursuing to carry forward this legacy to Chicago.
